How to get to the Circuit of Montmelo

The Circuit of Catalonia is one of the most popular European circuit and hosts Formula 1 and MotoGP races.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya enjoys a privileged location, at only 32 km from Barcelona and 18 km from the Costa de Barcelona. The Circuit is located between two major communication roads.

Careful sign-posting around the Circuit helps visitors to reach their destination without problems.

  • When travelling by car:

Follow the C-17 road (exit Montmeló), or the AP-7 highway. If you choose the AP-7 toll highway, you have several exits to reach the Circuit: 13, 14 and 15.

 

  •   Access by train from Barcelona:

Cercanías (commuter trains):

Travellers have four trains per hour available on working days and two trains on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The trip duration is of 30 minutes from the Barcelona Sants station, 25 minutes from Barcelona Pg. de Gràcia and 21 minutes from Barcelona El Clot-Aragó. Stop at the Montmeló train station.

  • Access by train from Girona:


Cercanías (commuter trains):

Travellers have two trains per hour on working days to the Granollers Centre station and one train on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The trip duration is of 1 hour from the Girona train station. Once arrived in Granollers Centre, take line R2 or R8 to Montmeló.

  • AVE (high-speed train):


Figueres Vilafant – Girona – Barcelona Sants
Approx. trip duration from Girona to Barcelona Sants: 38 minutes. Travellers with an AVE ticket get a free ticket for the commuter train (Cercanías) on departure and on arrival, including the connection service to the El Prat T2 and Barajas T4 airport stations (the Cercanías ticket is available at the ticket sales machines using the code printed on the AVE ticket). Seat booking is compulsory in these trains. Information, purchase and enquiries at www.renfe.com.

  • Walking from the train station

From the RENFE train station in Montmeló there is an approx. 45-minute walk to the Circuit.
